Prominent ears

Prominent ears are among the most frequent anomalies. This deformity often causes psychological problems.

In normal people, external ear are adherent to the temporal region with an angle between the ear and the temporal area of about 30°, but in severe cases, this angle may be widened up to 90°.

Protruding ears can be corrected, with a wide range of techniques according to the degree of protrusion and the deformity of helix, antihelix or concha. In congenital ear deformities ( craniofacial microsomia, Goldenhar, Treacher Collins etc.) proper surgical techniques are available for the correction.
