Clauser Paediatric Bone Bending Forceps (Strumento per Chirurgia Cranio Maxillo Facciale pediatrica)

Clauser Paediatric Bone Bending Forceps
In this Newsletter we are proud to announce the introduction of a new instrument for reconstructive cranio-maxillofacial surgery resulting from the international  extensive experience of Professor Luigi Clauser, former Director of the Center of Cranio-MaxilloFacial Surgery, St. Anna’s Hospital in Ferrara, now Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Institute Stomatologico Italiano in Milano, Italy www.isimilano.eu

This instrument is a modified version of the original Bone Bending Forceps (Original Paul Tessier, 01-15170 Cat .Stryker-Leibinger).

Original Tessier Bone Bending Forceps 19.5 cm

Clauser Paediatric Bone Bending Forceps 16.5 cm

lt has been designed for bending cranial bone, iliac crest grafts and even biomaterials to the appropriate curvature.
Compared to the original Tessier bending forceps, it is lighter and shorter with minor pressure power. The teeth are sharper and differently distributed.

This instrument is well suited for neonatal and paediatric craniofacial  surgery thanks to its smaller size, easy handling, and reduced encumbrance during intra-extracranial surgical remodelling, as may be seen from the photographs.

Certification procedures are now underway in order to allow the launch of this instrument in the specialist surgical market.
